This is a pitcher from the potter Rackliffe Pottery in Blue Hill Maine. I have been eating off this gorgeous pottery for 20 years. It is what I normally use as my everyday in the fall/winter season. I am needing to add as my plates and some bowls have nicks in them, this means they are well used! I have a thing for china and ceramics, so have a large collection of place settings and serving ware. My mother had a childhood friend who had a summer home in Blue Hill. During one of her summer visits, she found a rental cottage right on the water and spent about 5 summers up in Blue Hill. It was her escape for awhile and I would try and visit when I could. There are many other objects in my home from Blue Hill Maine that I will upload to show the local artisans.
